The Hollow men by T.S. Elliot

    I

    We are the hollow men
    We are the stuffed men
    Leaning together
    Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
    Our dried voices, when
    We whisper together
    Are quiet and meaningless
    As wind in dry grass
Or rats' feet over broken glass
    In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour,
    Paralysed force, gesture without motion;

    Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other Kingdom
Remember us-if at all-not as lost
    Violent souls, but only
    As the hollow men
    The stuffed men.

Living like an empty, hollow shell of a human being is by all means far worse than death . T.S.Eliot depicts this emptiness so perfectly it scares me

He sees how the industrial revolution changes man* from
a human being to a zombie going to the manifacture in the morning
and coming in the evening with no soul, no gesture, and no feelings. You
can say that he predicts how hollow our souls will become and how shallow
our minds will be in the future (Unfortunatelly his future is our present)d
